This newly published "Yoga for Back Care" booklet gives a sequence of beginning yoga poses to reduce back pain and improve posture. The first poses in the sequence lengthen the spine and stretch tight muscles. Strengthening postures follow to create balance and support to the body. The author gives concise descriptions of the poses and describes which poses affect different back conditions. In the introduction, anatomical and movement principles are given to further educate the yoga practitioner to understand how yoga is beneficial for back care.
